  1. Raulin Rosendo: De aqui Pa'lla

    Raulin Rosendo: De aqui Pa'lla

    €5.00

One of my favorite salsa vocalists, Raulín Rosendo, is back with a new release that will not disappoint. This straight-ahead salsa project, with participating musicians such as pianist Isidro Infante, Luisito Quintero on percussion, Johnny Pacheco -- and many others -- on coro, this one is strictly for the dancers. There are lots of solid danceclub-ready tracks here: 'Vuela Mujer' and 'Tengo Envidia' are sure bets. And Mr. Rosendo's 7-1/2 minute 'Homenaje a Héctor Lavoe' will be sure to get those old-school dancers out in front. ('La Banda', 'Abuelita', 'Mi Gente', are but a few buttons that are pushed. A guaranteed applause) Ultimately, it's the cover track, 'De Aqui Pa'lla', a Sony Ovalle arrangement, that is the killer here. DJs make note: Play this track.
    Raulin is on fire.

  3. Tito Gomez: Comenzando en Cero

    Tito Gomez: Comenzando en Cero

    €5.00

The singer, backed by a high-energy band, sends his tenor voice ripping through the monas. This is power salsa, pitched high, with the mix favoring the upper register. It's dance floor magic, rocking and exciting. Gomez's voice has a tear to it, a cry that gives even his come-ons sadness. Luis Vargas is a guest on a batchata; the rest is non-stop old school salsa.

  6. Elvis Martinez: Asi te Amo

    Elvis Martinez: Asi te Amo

    €5.00

In his last musical production titled "Así te Amo" (That's The Way I love you), Elvis shows his great artistical qualities once again, in a exquisite production, directed by the talented Rando Camasta. As an artist, Elvis Martinez always tries to give a good message through his songs and in the stage. One of his greatest accomplishments as bachatero is his success in Ecuador, being one of the first bachateros who act in several stands there; the gigantic sales of his discs in North American territory and recently his participation notable in the spectacle "Bachata Sinfónica", an espectacle of great quality directed by Amaury Sánchez, in this event, Elvis Martínez, known like "El Jevito of the Bachata" was one of the main figures.

  8. Clave Sonera: Rumba para Viena

    Clave Sonera: Rumba para Viena

    €5.00

Cross cultural meeting, led by the German pianist Gunther Bruck, who can bring a band together, that's for sure. Recorded mostly in Brooklyn, the album features some heavyweights from Venezuela, including the brothers Quintero, Luisito and Robert, along with Nelson Gonzalez on tres, and the Colombian/Austrian bassist Juan Garcia-Herreros. The music's really flexible, dropping into timba breaks, then moving into salsa; it's made by masters, and you can tell. Learn More
